ME!
Scotland Newton is a New York City based Actor. Originally from Northeastern Pennsylvania, Scotland moved to Pittsburgh to pursue professional training and holds a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts Degree in Acting from Point Park University. Scotland has performed across the US as well as internationally, most recently appearing in the International Tour of Dreamgirls which completed its run in Tokyo, Japan earlier this year. Scotland is also an acting coach. Specializing in audition techniques for young actors and concert dancers, Scotland has had the privilege of working with students in the US and England.

Audition Techniques Workshop
ATTENTION STUDIO OWNERS!
Join me for an hour of introductory acting techniques for young actors. We'll begin our time together with each participant having the opportunity to take the lead of a voice and movement warm up that will break the ice and allow us to center our focus and connect voice to our breath. Mock audition sides will be made available prior to class and I'll observe each student opposite a reader. If preferred, students may also present a monologue of their choosing. My goal for this class is to provide each student with an understanding of how to prepare for a callback. Making bold and memorable choices to make you audition stand out from the rest. This class is perfect for dancers and beginning actors!
